Sonablock achieves DIN EN 13964 Ball Impact Resistance certification

Sonablock by Stiga RM continues to expand its portfolio of internationally recognised certifications. Our Fiber 1.0 and Fiber 1.5 wood wool acoustic ceiling panels have successfully passed the DIN EN 13964 Ball Impact Resistance test, confirming their suitability for demanding sports and public environments.

The certification was awarded following independent testing carried out by the Materials Testing Institute (MPA), University of Stuttgart, one of Europe’s leading testing laboratories.

Passing the DIN EN 13964 ball impact resistance test confirms that Sonablock ceiling panels can withstand repeated ball impacts without compromising their structural integrity, safety or long-term performance. This makes the certified system particularly suitable for sports halls, gymnasiums, schools and other public buildings where ceilings are regularly exposed to impact.

The certification applies to:

  • Sonablock Fiber 1.0
  • Sonablock Fiber 1.5

This achievement further strengthens Sonablock’s position as a trusted manufacturer of high-performance wood wool acoustic panels. Alongside outstanding acoustic properties, fire classifications and sustainable production, the new certification provides architects, designers and contractors with additional confidence when specifying Sonablock for demanding projects.

As the world’s most advanced wood wool cement board factory, Sonablock remains committed to continuously validating product performance through internationally recognised independent testing.
